for the first time in more than a decade, the fbi fires shots in albuquerque. chris ramirez is live near sage and 86th in southwest albuquerque with the latest out there... this is the scene here usualy when we are scenes like this we see a lot of flashing police lights. but this is the fbi---and they don't normally travel in marked cars. here's what we know the fbi and apd were working together on some sort of narcotics investigation in this neighborhood. the fbi won't elaborate, but for whatever reason---an fbi agent felt threatened and began shooting his gun at two suspects. the agent didn't strike any of them.actually one got away---the other is custody. the fbi shooting at suspects is extremely rare in albuquerque. here's a question one of our kob photojournalists asked how long has it been since the FBI has been in an incident that involved gunfire? It's been over a decade since any of our guys fired a shot that I'm aware of. it's worth reiterating no one was shot in any way during the gun fire. but because an agent fired his weapon---there will be a full investigation to figure out if it was justified. live in southwest albuquerque, chris ramirez kob ewn4.
